Doris Jane Decker, age 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Forrest Springs Health Campus.
She was born on August 18, 1946 to the late Cosby and Ermon Tuggle Decker in Wayne County, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling, ball room dancing and spending time with her family. She was the owner of Berkley Jewelry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Cosby Jr, Stanley, Gorden, Glen and Jerry Decker, sister, Betty Decker and stepdaughter, Sherry Allen.
She is survived by two sons, Barry McKinney (Tammy), Tim McKinney both from Louisville, Ky; stepdaughter, Linda Byrd (Greg) of North Carolina; four grandchildren, and one step grandson, one step granddaughter, three step great-grandchildren, and her ex-husband, Matt Hubbard. She is survived by her brothers, Carlos Decker (Joann) of Huber Height, OH; Vernon Decker (Shirley) of Center, AL; Doyle Decker, (John Hewitt) of Louisville, Ky; sisters, Jenny Dalton (Jr.), Mary Johnson (Garry Roberts), both of Nancy, Ky and Glenna Decker of Louisville, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Isaiah Super officiating. Burial will follow in Morrow Chapel Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Doris Jane Decker.
Mamaw I am grateful for your kind heart and the love you gave each of us grandkids. You only wanted the best for each of us. I love you and will truly miss you.
I loved Doris from the minute I met her. She was the most kind woman and friend. May she never be forgotten and always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace sweet Doris ❤️
Doris was a good friend.
She was always so nice and welcoming to me and my family. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
She will be missed by so many.
