James B. Simpson, age 57, of Parkers Mill Community parted from this life on March 9, 2015. He was of Baptist Faith.
He was a man of many incredible talents. James enjoyed the simple things in life such as; the outdoors, fishing, and camping, but most of all, spending time with his loved ones. He was a devoted member to the American Legion Post# 38 of Somerset, KY.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Janice Simpson, Daughter, Kimberly (and Travis) Jenkins, his brothers; Michael Wayne Simpson, Homer Ray Simpson, and Roger Lee Simpson, all of the Somerset Community. Joy Vanessa Simpson (niece), Johnathan Micheal Simpson, Bryan Lee Simpson (nephews), grandchildren; Ethan Lee Searels, Bryston Lane Searels, Noah Rylan Simpson, Shannon Micheal Simpson Oakley, Carolyn Simpson (cousin), Gary McClendon (cousin), and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer Ray and Lona Katherine Rogers Simpson, James Barton Simpson Jr. (son), and Saundra Louise Simpson (sister-in-law).
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015 after 10am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Members of the American Legion Post 38 and family will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow in New Bronston Cemetery.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
