Linda Mae Roberts, 77 of the Slate Branch Community passed away on December 4th, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Linda was born on May 5th in Wayne County, KY to the late Samuel Crabtree and Lucille Savage.
Linda was retired from the Pulaski County school system where she had outstanding work ethic.
Linda was of the Baptist faith.
Linda was never afraid to speak her mind, and everyone who knew her valued that rare gift you always knew exactly where you stood with her. Her strength, warmth, and straightforward spirit made her unforgettable.
Linda was very proud of her family and found joy in keeping her yard and her home immaculate.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and authenticity that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Along with her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, David Roberts, her daughter, Susan Stout and her son, Steve Stout
She is survived by her children Clint (Lisa) Stout Falmouth, KY and Mitchell (Amanda) Stout, Somerset, KY. Grandchildren Chad (Alex) Simpson, Jordyn Stout, Lauryn Stout, and Miles Stout. Four brothers Sammy (Janet) Crabtree, of the Slate Branch community, Earl Crabtree, of Florence, Ky., Lawrence (Toby) Crabtree and Edward (and Dolly) Crabtree, both of the Slate Branch Community; three sisters Susie Crabtree, of Florence, Ky., Janie (and James) Simpson, of Parker Mills Road, and Theresa (and James) Owens, of Slate Branch Community.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 12-2pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Linda Mae Roberts.
