Mary Louise Passmore Lafavers, widow of James Lafayette Lafavers, age 74, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at A. B. Chandler U. K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born on January 20, 1943 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Jim and Leora Passmore. “Louise” as she was affectionally called by those who loved her was of the Baptist Faith and attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Louise enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Besides her Parents and Husband she was preceded in death by two sons; James Junior Lafavers and Billy Joe Lafavers and two brothers; J. D. Passmore and Fairley Passmore.
Louise leaves behind to cherish her precious memories a son; Bobby Lafavers of Russell Springs, daughters; Glenda Ann Stargel and Sharon Gail Wesley of Russell Springs, her brothers; Danny Passmore, William Passmore and Riley Passmore all of Russell Springs and her sisters; Irene Grimsley, Edner Grimsley, Novie Copley and Lou Ann Caldwell all of Russell County, along with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and little Braxton who is like a grandchild to her.
The family will gather for Visitation on Monday, May 29, from 5:00 P.M. and public visitation from 6:00 p.m. (CST) until 8:00 P.M. (CST) in the Chapel of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Dameron Creek Road, Russell Springs, Kentucky with Funeral Services on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. (CST) with Brother Denver Wilson officiating, Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mary Lafavers Memorial fund in care of Southern Oaks Funeral Home, 2110 West Highway 914, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
