Gilbert Ray Pyles, age 75, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on November 13, 1941, in Slick Ford, Kentucky, son of the late Kelley and Mandy Patton Pyles.

Gilbert was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the AM Vets.

He is survived by his fiancé, Linda Swiney, of Bronston, sons; Timothy (Debbie) Pyles of Somerset and David (Mary Ann) Pyles of Science Hill, stepdaughter; Allyson Jermeay, of Bronston, brother; Jerry (Christine) Pyles of Burnside, sisters; Doris Foster of Somerset, Lois (Jerry) Wilbrant of Burnside and Joyce (Larry) Stinson of Somerset, granddaughter; Brandy Carpenter, great-grandchildren; Kayla (Willie) Bradley, Courtney (Dale) Alexander, Johnathon Bascom and Whitney Bascom. He is also survived by his first wife; Lois Erisman of White Lily, dear friend; Harold Carpenter and his dog Chloe, who was his best friend, and by his side until the end.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Jeff Pyles, brothers; Ken Pyles, Roger Pyles and Wilburn Pyles.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, after 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Hank Adcock officiating.
