Donald Zada Mink, Age 81, of Burnside, passed from this life on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Jean Waddle Hospice Center of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on June 6, 1935 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Zada Walker Mink and Mae Pearl Martin Mink. He was the former owner & Operator of Mink’s Trucking & Don’s Used Cars. He enjoyed camping, fishing and the outdoors as well as NASCAR. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter; Jennie Lynn Mink Gossett, sister; Jean Mink Fisher, brother; Wayne Mink, grandson; Christopher J. Mink and a great-granddaughter; Stephine Grigsby.
He is survived by his sons; Donald Wayne Mink of Burnside, Tony (Trulayne) Mink and David (Becky) Mink all of Science Hill and Paul Mink of Somerset. His daughters; Kim Bickers of Frankfort, Kentucky, Cheri (Sam) Grigsby of Slate Branch Community, Elizabeth (David) Yadon of Science Hill and Katharina (Robbie) Ping of Somerset. Three brothers; Danny (Paulette) Mink of Bronston, Jerry (Billie Jo) Mink of Somerset and Ricky Mink of Tateville. Three sisters; Betty Stewart of Bronston, Sue Turner of Virginia and Billie Godby of Texas. Sixteen Grandchildren and Eleven Great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p. m on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 P.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffith and Bro. Harold Harris officiating. A fellowship dinner will be served for the immediate family in the community room immediately following the service.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of lake Cumberland
