Lloyd Glenn “Glenny” Palmer, Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on November 25, 1974 in Morristown, Tn. to Terry Mize Palmer and the late Lloyd Glenn Palmer.
Glenny was a precious young man. He loved to swim, shoot baskets, swing in the hammock and just have fun. He enjoyed playing little tricks and then he would laugh like crazy when someone discovered what he had done. He was always willing to help and never left a room without everything being neat and where it belonged. He was warm and loving and always ready for a hug. Glenny will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Lloyd is survived by his mother, Terry Palmer, of Brentwood, Tn., two brothers, Andrew Ryan (and Dina) Palmer, of Avon, Indiana, and Derek Michael Palmer, of Denver, Colorado; grandmother, Helen Palmer; nephews, Troy Palmer and Max Palmer; niece, Nina Palmer; aunts, Amy Woods, Helen Wagner, Pamela Anderson, Debbie Palmer, Ann Marie Palmer, and Elizabeth Reilly. He is also survived by a host of friends from Bluegrass Oakwood.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Palmer was an amazing young man. Always trying to have fun. Miss him deeply.
Glenny will be missed so much by his family & friends. He was a sweet, loving person. I know he is with his dad in heaven, fishing and sharing laughs.
Glenny’s joy was contagious. He was a blessing to all who knew him. I am a better person for having him in my life.
My darling boy, I will miss you forever. You have given me so much love and fun. I will never forget our trip to Storybook Land and Santa’s Village. Our fun in the pool at grandpa’s. You riding your Star Wars Rider and your train. How you enjoyed the piano. “Hut” You were pure joy. I love you so very much. I am sure your Dad took you to be with him on his birthday. Be happy with your father and grandfather. I am sure you are with them. Hopefully some day I will get a hug from you again. Love you, Aunt Ann Marie
