Mary Louise Bidwell, age 87, of Nicholasville passed from this life on February 10, 2017 in Nicholasville.
Mary was born on January 31, 1930 in Monticello, KY to the late Larry D. Smith and Lula Brown. Mary enjoyed cooking, reading, taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mary is survived by sons, John Bidwell, Jackie Bidwell, Frank Bidwell, all of Nicholasville; daughters, Lena Bidwell, Claudia Bidwell, Mary Jane Maggard, all of Nicholasville, Elsie (Edward) Fraley, of Lexington; grandchildren, David Bidwell, Billy Bidwell Jr., Jennifer (Fraley) Adams, Christopher (Anna) Bidwell, Maurice Moore, Edna Hernandez, Michael Bidwell, Ashlyn (Daniel) Dunn, Anthony Rhodus, Bryan (Sara) Bidwell, Rachel (Shawn) Pullen, Robyn (Jason) Wiles, Autumn Bidwell, Timothy Bidwell, Tina Maggard and great grandchildren, Chas Fraley, Grace Fraley, Madison Dunn, Danielle Dunn, Crystal Dunn, Preston Lee Pullen, Aubry Moore, Jackson Moore, Sandra Hernandez, Fredy Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez, Annabelle Hernandez, Antonio Hernandez, Emily Bidwell, Serenity Bidwell, Rosie Rhodus, Stormy Rhodus, McKenley Bidwell, Shakota Leonard, Cheyanne Leonard, Emmarie Gooch.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Bidwell; sons, Billy Ray Bidwell,Sr., Henry Bidwell, Marion Bidwell; daughter, Billie Jean Rhodus; sister, Fronie Gregory and a great grandson, Elijah Bidwell.
The family wishes to express a debt of gratitude to her granddaughter Jennifer Adams for ensuring that her wish to be home was fulfilled by being constantly by her side, caring for her every need tirelessly. The family would also like to thank Hospice of the Bluegrass Gold Team 1.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Hearn officiating. Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chas Fraley, Christopher Bidwell, Timothy Bidwell, Edward Fraley, Frank Bidwell, Bryan Bidwell, Anthony Rhodus, Michael Bidwell, and Billy Bidwell. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bidwell, Jackie Bidwell and David Bidwell
