Jerry “Rocky” Wayne Davis, age 71, of Somerset, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Jerry was born on December 30, 1945 in Beaman, MO to the late Lawrence and Margie Davis Neville. He was a heavy equipment operator at East Anderson Hardwood. Jerry loved nature, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Jerry is survived by sons, Jerry (and Tammy) Davis, of Otterville, MO, Jimmy (and Marianne) Davis, of Sedalia, MO, Jeffery Davis, Lead Hill, AR; daughters, Joyce (and Ronald) Wright, of Somerset, Janet (and Rodney) Sherman, of Somerset, Terri Davis (and fiancée Travis Monteer), Sedalia, MO; brother, Lawrence (and Margaret) Neville, of Jenkinsburg, Georgia; sisters, Carol (and Frank) Vanderpool, of Sedalia, MO, Debra (and Rick) Rios, Sedalia, MO; special friends, Aldie Ridings, of Somerset, Noah and Debby May, of Eubank; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson, Camren Davis.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. William Adkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family wish donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
