Debbie Kay Wolsey, age 57, of Somerset, passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at her residence.
Debbie was born on September 8, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of Arnold B. and Mary Lou Collier Slone. She worked as house supervisor for the Heritage House, in Shelbyville, Indiana, until her health began to fail. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spending time in the Word with God. Debbie attended the Wesleyan Church of Somerset.
She is survived by her father, Arnold B. Slone; her husband, James Wolsey, Sr.; her daughters, Sheena (and B.) Lovins, of Somerset, Maryjo Wolsey, of Bronston, and Turina (and Jackie) Wolsey, of Tateville; her step-son, James (and Christina) Wolsey, Jr., of Bronston; her brother, Timothy (and Fran) Slone, of Dry Ridge; her sisters, Joanne Berlin, of Slate Branch, and Terri (and Paul) Keith, of Somerset; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Brenda Brown, of Florence, who was like a sister to Debbie; and Susannah Campbell, Rachel Campbell and Kendale Campbell, of Bronston, who were like daughters to Debbie.
Preceding Debbie in death is her mother, Mary Lou Slone; her brother, Jimmy Slone; and her sister, Connie McDougal.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2017, after 5:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Steven Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be B. Lovins, Brian Herrin, Jr., Harley Herrin, CJ Burdine, KJ McDougal and James Wolsey, Jr.
