Barbara Ann Armes, age 70, of Burnside, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at her home.
Barbara was born in Hazard, on December 11, 1945, daughter of the late Charlie and Bertha Hensley Wagers. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Armes, Jr.; her daughter, Brenda Sue Most, of Burnside; her son, Michael Shane (and wife, Brittney Nicole) Armes, of Burnside; her brothers, Willie (and wife, Ethabelle) Wagers, and Boyd (and wife, Carol) Wagers; her sisters, Charlene Armes and Dean Armes; her grandchildren, Gabriel Shane Armes, Iris Ann Armes, Shelby Most (and husband, Matthew) Beaumier, and Blake Robert (and wife, Erin) Most; and her great-grandson, Bryson James Beaumier.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roger Armes; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Skip Boyd; her brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Elizabeth Wagers; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Clyde Arms; her sister, Vicky; and her brother-in-law, Burton Arms.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be Thursday, after the visitation, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in the form of blankets for the patients of the Dialysis Center, in Somerset.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
