Geneva “Mae” Johnson, age 79, of Bronston, passed from this life on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Mae was born on August 29, 1936, in Jabez, daughter of the late William Shelby and Eva Gadberry Brummett.  She was a past employee for Oakwood, of Somerset.  Mae enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching game shows.  She greatly enjoyed her “grandbabies”.  Mae was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sons, Calvin (and Ellen) Rollyson, and Jeff (and Lynette) Rollyson, both of Nancy; her daughter, Connie (and Eddie) Stearns, of Bronston; her sisters, Velma Pearl Roman, of Sharonville, Ohio, and Joyce Marie Oakes, of Nancy; her grandchildren, Brandon Epperson, Jessica Rollyson, Mahala Rollyson, Kiara Rollyson and Byron Rollyson; and her great-grandson, Gavin Epperson.

Mae is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Lee Johnson; her brother, Delbert Brummett; and her sister, Darlene Nicely.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 22, 2016, at 12:00 noon, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Eddie Stearns officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
