Edward Arthur “Eddy” Placke, age 80, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on November 7, 1934 in Grundy, KY to the late Henry and Daisy Jackson Placke.
He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and farming. Eddy was preceded by death by his parents, Henry and Daisy Placke, one brother, William Placke, and one sister, Wanda Placke.
He is survived by a wife from a previous marriage, Pauline Ledbetter Placke of Somerset, KY; one son, Christopher Edward (and Debra Pruitt) Placke of Texas, one brother, Joseph “JE” (and Katy) Placke of Somerset, KY; one niece, Patricia Ann (and Dennis) Ping of Somerset, KY, two grandchildren, Joseph Placke and David Placke, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2015 from 10am to 12pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at 12pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating.
Burial will follow in Rock Lick Cemetery.
