Donald Lee “Zeke” Arthur, age 73 of Somerset, KY passed away on Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on January 25, 1941 to the late Willis and Ethel Whitaker Arthur in Laurel County, KY.
Donald was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting pocket knives, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoyed cooking, especially his white beans and was one of the greatest flower growers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ethel Arthur and one sister, Betty Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Whittle Delk Arthur, of whom he married on November 8, 1985 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, two sons, Chris (Cheryl) Arthur of the Mt. Zion Community and Donald Kent Arthur of Salt Lake City, Utah, two sons that he raised as his own, Danny Arthur of Somerset, KY and Shad Delk of Richmond, KY., three daughters, Darla (Jeff) of Lockport, IL., Donna (Paul) of Tuscan, AR., and Tracy Dobbs of Somerset, TX., and also Rhonda Peterchef of Somerset, KY and Nadine Whitaker that were like daughters to him, two brothers, Willis Glen Arthur of Somerset, KY and Larry Arthur of Redding, OH., one sister, Carolyn Letterman of London, KY., fifteen grandchildren, Eric Keating, Lena Keating, Lance Arthur, Lauren Arthur, Kelsey Arthur, Haley Arthur, Jason Arthur, Crystal Arthur, Zeke Arthur, Taylor Arthur, Jake Tesch, Josh Tesch, Jenna Tesch, Cody Dobbs, Tyler Dobbs, and one great grandchild, Adden Keating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 8, 2014 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 8, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother David Hawk and Brother Bernard Arthur officiating.
Jake Tesch, Josh Tesch, Tyler Dobbs, Carl Dobbs, Rick Taylor, and Robert Dobbs serving as Pall Bearers and Adden Keating, Jeff Tesch, and Jeanne Tesch serving as Honorary Pall Bearers.
Burial will follow in Whitaker Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Whitaker Cemetery Fund and the Gideon Memorial Bible Fund.
