Albert “Dave” Burdine, age 56, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Somerset, KY passed away on Sunday February 16, 2014 at his home in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born on May 24, 1957 in Somerset, KY to the late Albert Andrew and Eunice Higgins Burdine.
Dave was former Owner Operator of B and B Tires in Indianapolis, IN. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sports, nascar racing, loved to travel and was a family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Burdine.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Cogdill Burdine, whom he married on June 3, 2001 in Somerset, KY. Stepsons, James Edward Jones and Gregory Lynn Jones, both of Indianapolis, IN. Mother in law and father in law, Bill and Ethel Cogdill of Somerset, KY. Three brothers, Gary (Becky) Burdine, Jerry Burdine and Dearl Burdine, all of Indianapolis, IN. Four sisters, Kathy Charles and Betty (George) Charles all of Indianapolis, IN. and Paulette Syra and Joyce Watkins, both of Somerset, KY. Also survived by one step-grandson, Tyler Jones.
Vistiation will be held on Thursday February 20, 2014 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 21, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Riddle and Bro. Harold Rose officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
